Power of Play... Sanctuary Sunday

Happy long July 4th holiday weekend! I hope it’s off to a great start - and that you have lots of opportunity for play over the next few days!

I love watching people who really know how to dive into what they love and it feels like play. The regular concert go-ers, the artists, the ones who are actually having fun!

Are you making time for play and fun a priority? You definitely should!

There is incredible power in playfulness. As children, we effortlessly embraced the joy and freedom that play brought to our lives. However, as adults, we often find ourselves caught up in responsibilities, stress, and the never-ending to-do lists. But what if I told you that infusing more play into your days can unlock a world of benefits and rejuvenation? It can literally lighten your load!

Playfulness has the remarkable ability to ignite our creativity, enhance problem-solving skills, and even improve our overall well-being. Engaging in playful activities can awaken our imagination, encouraging us to think outside the box and approach challenges from fresh perspectives. By approaching our days with a playful mindset, we create a space for curiosity and exploration, fostering a sense of joy and wonder in our daily lives.

Here's a fun idea: Let's make a pact to prioritize play in our lives and reap the benefits it brings. Together, let's laugh, explore, and create with a renewed sense of playfulness. Embrace the power of play, and watch as it transforms your days into something truly magical!

I invite you to devote yourself to infusing more play into your days this week (and it’s an easy week to do so!) As the play from the holiday unfolds, observe what was the most fun. How can you take that into the rest of your week? What else could you add (hobbies, that class you’ve wanted to take, a kitchen dance solo)? Remember, life is a beautiful adventure, and adding a touch of playfulness can help us let our inner child out to play!

With a heart full of playfulness and appreciation,

Kristin
