Nature can teach us so much. Think of how resilient trees are due to their foundation of a solid root structure. Even when a storm comes, and they must bend and sway, they can withstand the powerful winds and rain. And the magic of nature is that the tree can grow stronger roots and become more resilient against future storms.
It’s such a meaningful message for us to integrate in our lives. In order to be more resilient and grounded through the big storms and even little stressors of our daily lives, we need to nourish our foundation. We are going to face adversity, and we want to be able to process that in a healthy manner and bounce back with love and joy and even exuberance.
Learning and integrating practices that regulate your nervous system, like breathwork, meditation, tapping, and yoga nidra, are a game-changer for your resilience and therefore your life. From your sleep patterns, to your anxiety levels, to how you will show up each day, these practices make a measurable difference in helping you to feel good, even in challenging times. And this has a ripple effect on everyone around you.

This is a simple breathwork practice that tells your body that it is time to relax.
To make it more impactful for your nervous system, interlace your fingers, and then place your palms flat on your chest, like a butterfly shape.
Sealing your lips, inhale slowly through your nose, starting in your belly and up through your diaphragm to your heart, for a count of 4.
Pause at the top.
Exhale and release slowly for a count of 6, emptying out at the bottom and pulling your belly button back to your spine.
Do this for two to five minutes, and flood your nervous system and body with deep restoration.
