Self Trust... Sanctuary Sunday

Working on my book for the past two years has been a wild journey of self-trust. From wondering if the title was good enough, to questioning every detail along the way, it has pushed me to have to really dive deep into the confidence of trusting my gut, listening to my inner wisdom, and ultimately, simply trusting my decisions and desires.

If you struggle with procrastination or a lack of follow through on your dreams and visions, I want you to know that it is not because you are lazy or not capable or don’t have the time. These are all sneaky self-doubt excuses that our mind uses to keep us in our comfort zone. And they just aren’t true.

It might also come up as questioning your own parenting decisions, especially as your kids go off to school. Was I good enough? Was this the right choice? What if I messed that up? Here’s the thing: no one does the parenting thing perfectly, and yet we all do the best that we know how to do. And we have to trust that.

You can cultivate your self-trust. Imagine you're sailing on a vast ocean. Your self-trust serves as the anchor, grounding you even as the tides of doubt and uncertainty try to sway you. Just as the anchor keeps the boat steady, self-trust keeps you resilient and centered, allowing you to weather any storm.

The feeling of truly trusting yourself is powerful, both as an anchor and as a guiding light.

Take a moment to reflect on instances when self-trust played a role in your life. How did it empower you to make decisions or overcome obstacles? Recognize the impact it has on your confidence and well-being.

Journal Prompt: Imagine a situation where you might doubt yourself. How would approaching this situation with self-trust change your perspective and actions? Write down the positive outcomes that could emerge.

With gratitude, Kristin
